Even if you try to distance yourself from other vampires, it's easy to get drawn into their squabbles. I mean, the goal is to write, what, seven of them? What kind of mage will you be? It totally stuck with whatever choice you picked and didn't try to force a main story line on you. But setting the player up for failure is not satisfying, either. How will you balance your waning humanity against your thirst for blood? It is worth buying, especially if you've already read through their past books. It was a very quick read. I wish they had continued the story. .

From some of the dates of the previous reviews, it doesn't seem that Choice of Games is in any rush to continue the story. . I am especially interested in the Shepherds and Wolves storyline, anyone had luck with that? You know, sequels are always hard to do. . Will you rekindle a romance that transcends death? So many names were thrown around and characters introduced but very little time or development was given to them that I felt no attachment to any of them unless I forced myself to care. In the subplot with the priest there's no chance to agree with him, you can't be interested in the Voodoo priestess without the game claiming you're courting her.
The game is very interesting to me and it would be a great experience to see how you guys would write a story as the timeline progressed and with it our characters strength and status. . It was easy to connect with my character, the vivid style of writing pulled me into the scenes, and I really appreciated the way that past decisions have ramifications later on in your character's saga.
This is a very good story and has a lot of interesting twists and turns reading it the first couple of times; even has the odd twist after you've read the story and choose a different path. But yes, I recognize your dissatisfaction with it as it stands. Only with a lot more playing cards, and an unfortunate lack of Malkavians. Discredit your boss, solve murders, and reanimate your own corpse to keep your city from drying out. Will you rekindle a romance that transcends death? Though I have to say I was a little disappointed with the choices in love and how they end--but then again, such a thing is to be expected with creatures of the night. Choice of the Vampire was a very large story to follow. I played the Memphis thing already. Whatever you picked was your story! Your choice of black, white, or sepia. The writing is decent and the inclusion of historical settings is appreciated. At least you have enjoyable role play until it ends so far.
