Though when I saw these games back then they did look fun and those memories kept with me until I was reminded of these games one day at a game store selling old gamecube games the first version of these games. It's still the only game I have for the Wii and I am constantly coming back to it. I came home and wanted to see if I could get them cheaper online cause you usually can and realized there was actually a Wii version of the game with updated controls etc. The story is also quite entertaining showing you more about the Bounty Hunter Samus Aran. . Probably the best of them.
I had seen these Metroid games in the past being played by friends who were more into Metroid then I was at the time. And re-discovering new hidden areas because of suit upgrades is pretty fun to. No content that I'm aware of was added and yet the games are worth playing all over again for the unique and highly responsive motion controls. These games kept me occupied for a good number of days exploring new worlds and learning new things. Though I guess with the game being such quality and fun it's worth the price.
When I finished the last game I was a bit saddened because of the fact there isn't any new Metroid games that are as fun as these 3. One of the problems these games do have that I didn't mind as much was the fact you had to back track quite a bit at times. Unfortunately these days the game is still pretty expensive at 40 dollars or so that I paid to get this game. What else can I say? Retro Studios the company who made this for Nintendo did a great job and I really hope they come back to make more, or at least whoever does end up picking up making more of the Metroid games does as good of a job as they did. The graphics, the soundtrack, the controls are all top-notch. The last time I played a game that was this fun and long that I can remember was probably Okami for Wii. I spent lots of time playing each game enjoying the lore and the gameplay.
But when you go back to an area where you had a bunch of trouble at in the beginning and now you can easily run through it without blinking an eye because you're so powerful the creatures don't pose a threat is a great feeling. The Wii controls are just as tight in the first two games as the third that was made for them from the start. The first two games were originally on the Gamecube, but have been updated to work with the Wii remote and nunchuck. I bought a Wii specifically so I could play the Prime series. This game is a must for any collection!! One of several games Nintendo had redone with the Wii controller.
This is a compilation of the three Metroid Prime games, all in one. . . . . .
