With AudioLab, you can cut audio, merge audio, record audio, and can do lots of other audio editing stuff. However, there are a lot of things I can't do that sighted people can. Have not explored it yet but it sure looks interesting. Prime has made it so literally anyone can effectively use loops to enhance their music ministry. The sounds are also notated with all essential information and searchable making it very easy to find what you are looking for. This recorder is a speciality for multitrack recording. You will not only make me happy, but other blind musicians happy as well.
Cubasis does a lot of things similar but has a differnt feel. The free version of Twotrack Audio Recorder has some ads but otherwise functions as effectively as the paid version. All in all if you do electronic music I do recommend this application highly as you can use it for doing whole songs or part of songs to import into other applications but it is made for direct manipulation so it is great app to use as a part in a live setup. There is a free subscription though where there is five projects available to work on. The very useful Recording Studio is being refined and made extra useful for user through addition of new features and updates.
This developer have been around for a long time and the main idea of his earlier work has been the same as this latest one. This happens sometimes for me using Audio Evolution to, but not always. So the developer tried to get this application finished using Kickstarter but without success now he got ten thousand euros as first price instead! It is useful for recording lectures, meetings, songs, conversations, interviews and many more.
Here is a short review published by iosmars. I don't personally think its worth the extra dollar or two. Initial usage may require some trial and error for proper adjustment. I'm not associated with this app in any way. I want to be able to do multitrack recording on a tablet, so that I can take it with me to record band practice. It comes with pitch and stretch function making it easy to adjust different loops in different bpms and the pitch will keep in tune. J4t is a much better interface than fourtracks lite, the biggie for me being that you can mix reletave volume of tracks. I have also been looking. It works good enough to document ideas. Instruments and patches that we could not afford or get a hold of are now extremely affordable and easy to get. It contains an audio editor which you can use to import audio files, add effects to them and slice them in samples, an effect editor that allows you to create your own effects from elementary blocks, and a tracker that you can use to compose new music using those samples and effects. There are however pretty consistent bugs with the app where it is necessary to restart the program. Easy Voice Recorder is what the name says.
You hit the button, it records some audio, and that's it, basically. When we make changes on our iPad, I wish everyone that was logged in to our Prime account would be in sync and make the changes automatically too. Prior to that I had an old windows mobile that self-destroyed 1 month ago, tired from mistreating. Before using Prime, I had little to no experience using loops or tracks. The recordings are paused after every three minutes in the Mp3 recordings. There are two great applications which will allow true multitrack input recording using the 404, one is Cubasis from Steinberg, the other is Auria.
